Jail Rules and Regulations for Inmate Visitation

 

I.                   VISITS: Inmates incarcerated in the Phelps County Jail are allowed one 25 minute visit during their scheduled visitation time. Three visitors at a time with no limit to how many.

II.                 

- Out of state visitors may request a onetime only special visit that must be pre-arranged with the Jail Administrative staff. If you have questions you may contact Lt. Shults or Brenda Riley Mon-Fri during normal business hours. 573-426-3860

                                           D Pod – 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

 

              TUESDAY:………..    B Pod – 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

                                           C Pod – 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

 

              WEDNESDAY:…..    A Pod and Female Holding– 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM (Females)

E Pod - 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

 

              SATURDAY:………    G Pod (Trustees) and Male Holding – 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

 

II.                INMATE PROPERTY: The ONLY items we accept during scheduled visitation times are:

1.     Eyewear (Contact, glasses, or solution in a new unopened container)

2.    Oral aids (dentures, denture cream, and denture sanitizer)

3.    One soft black Bible, Koran, or religious text

 

No money orders are accepted for deposit in the inmate accounts.

    Money can be deposited in the following ways;

 *In the lobby of the Phelps County Sheriff’s Department 24/7 depositiong cash or credit card using electronic Kiosk.

 * Via the internet at www.inmatedeposits.com OR

 *Via the telephone at 866-345-1884

 Currently the inmate number that is required is the SSN of the inmate incarcerated.

 

White underwear, t-shirts, and socks can be brought in ONLY during the first 12 hours of incarceration. We also accept any prescription medications in the correct bottles and labeled correctly. The garments need to be PLAIN white in new, unopened packages of NO MORE that 3. Medication approval or denial is up to the medical staff. After the first 12 hours of incarceration, items can be purchased from the commissary, or if the inmate is on indigent status, we will provide the items to them. Commissary is ordered on Tuesdays and delivered on Thursdays. If you live more than 2hrs away you have 24hrs to bring the above listed items.

 

III.             MAIL: Mail from friends and family is ONLY accepted in the form of a postcard addressed to the inmate.  Mail is received and delivered Monday through Saturday with the exception of holidays. Commissary is ordered Tues. and delivered Thurs. All commissary or money questions are directed to Nikki Mowry. Inmates receive mail at the following address:
